How this dataset is built

  • Public companies (103+ tracked) — we extract retention disclosures from every public B2B SaaS company across SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, DEF 14A proxies, 20-F, S-1), earnings call transcripts, and IR-hosted investor presentations. New disclosures appear within 24 hours of filing.
  • Verified founder submissions — private SaaS founders submit anonymized retention metrics via the free calculator. Work-email-gated. Aggregated medians published at /community-benchmarks/ with a privacy floor (cells require ≥5 submissions before publishing).
  • Auto-verification + human review — every disclosure passes 8 verification gates before publishing (range, period, future-date guard, self-consistency, cross-source agreement, etc.). Conflicts and edge cases get human review against the source URL.
  • Source attribution — every datapoint links to its original SEC filing, transcript, or press release. You can independently verify any number on this site.
